Work Experience

Lead Product Designer, Rogers • Remote 🇨🇦

APR 2023 — NOW

Led a Canada-wide redesign of Roger’s main retail sales system, impacting over ten thousand agents, millions of customers, 150+ screens — reducing sale transaction time and unnecessary complexity.

Agent Assist — Helped shape an innovative initiative, where generative AI was deployed to reduce the gap between customers and different agents throughout their customer relationship journey.

Managing designers — This included assigning tasks, conducting regular performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and friendly environment for them.

Leading product vision —Launched 15+ features or product enhancements on Rogers main platform for frontline agents. I led everything wireless (phones, tablets, wearables, plans, promotions and upgrades).

Design strategy — Led design strategy for key products, aligning user needs with business goals with 4 different teams, impacting all non-consumer facing wireless transactions (Call Centres, Retail Stores, Field Sales).

Socializing UX solutions — Led mockups and prototypes presentations to cross functional org-wide teams, including directors and VPs, securing buy-in and advocating for a better UX overall.

Enterprise UX — I was part of efforts to conduct user research and testing (at physical Rogers stores), gathering insights to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience in the context of Enterprise UX complex systems.

Design Lead, Valence • Remote 🇨🇦

SEP 2021 — MAR 2023

Impact at large – Led the design team shipping dozen of valuable experiences for senior leadership and team leaders at Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola, Nestle and Vanguard.

Onboarding boost – Responsible for improving onboarding by 30% and acquisition of new users on a challenging single use product.

Ship fast, learn fast – Rapidly iterations and experiments run weekly in partnership with product manager and engineers to validate hypothesis and ship value to our customers on end to end flows, increasing usage – impacting renewal possibilities.

Creative UX – Introduced new design patterns like landing pages, better onboarding and drastically improving conversion on emails through a new design system.

Connecting the dots – Redesigned a suit of products with an universal design language for a more familiar and easy to use

Motion graphics – Introduced and produced new animations for better understanding of reports, and micro-education throughout different flows, resulting in more successful cross-selling and user conversion.

Managing designers – Helped grow the design team and function by hiring new designers and managing contract work across multiple countries.

Business impact – Helped leadership re-brand the company and products together with brand specialist to set the new era after its Series A.

Senior Product Designer, Battlefy 🇨🇦

OCT 2020 — SEP 2021

Profitability – Responsible for creating the “Portal” product on the Battlefy platform, delivering client portals 4x faster, going from four to one week. Portals were the most important revenue source for Battlefy, and contributed for it to be profitable for the first time.

Design system – Part of the team that created Comet, Battlefy’s design system. Responsible for maintaining it, expanding it with new components, and learning through data analysis and user feedback.

B2B process — Teams (product, business, engineering) were able to communicate better their goals, needs, and deadlines with human centric approach, resulting in a larger profit margin for Battlefy.

Strategy – Implement strategic plans for the organization in alignment with business goals; overseeing the direction and approving operational processes and resource allocation decisions to ensure design team achieve its quarterly objectives.

Mentoring – Coach other product designers through complex design problems, product ideation, and responsible for reviewing periodically design team deliveries: dozens of unique branded experiences for game developers and worldwide known brands in the esport industry like Nintendo, Sony, EA, NFL and more.

Product Designer, Battlefy 🇨🇦

APR 2019 — OCT 2020

Engagement growth – Responsible for improving player ratings feature on tournaments platform, increasing user engagement by 3200% through four iterations with A/B testing and data analysis. Player love for the platform went from 62% to 80%.

Discovery growth – Improved on-platform discovery of B2B engagements by 5.7x, increasing value of client deals.

Responsive design – Designed responsive experiences (mobile/web) for the biggest game brands: Riot Games, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Red Bull, Nintendo, Epic Games, and EA Sports impacting millions of users worldwide, making sure their growth and revenue goals were achieved through Battlefy platform.

User research – Conduct user research on different projects trying to deeply understand player goals, motivations, and connecting company goals to new platform features.

Senior UX Designer, Symplicity 🇧🇷

NOV 2018 — APR 2019

Starting a design team – Responsible for creating and expanding a newly created design team operation in Brazil, after Symplicity acquired Contratanet.

Complex products – The team worked on a range of different products for higher education institutions and government departments impacting hundreds of thousands of users.

Mentorship – Mentored and trained new hires on the company’s design process, tools, and agile workflows – acting specially as a bridge between Washington and Brazil.

Design System – Helped design, maintain, and code a design system, later used on a 15-years old product update, taking into account previously ran user research and interviews.

UX/UI Designer Consultant 🇧🇷

NOV 2017 — OCT 2018

Revamped a platform for a company that allocates totems in restaurants to evaluate the quality of products and services.

First phase – mobile application for Android tablets, and new design system.

Second phase – Web administrative panel for creation and manipulation of results.

Third phase – the creation of interactive reports and real-time monitoring panels.

Fourth phase – an analytics mobile tool for managers to check real-time information about their restaurants.

Redesigned of a mobile application for service in restaurants facilitating communication between clients, management, and kitchen.

UX/UI Designer, CI&T 🇧🇷

APR 2017 — OCT 2017

Design strategy – Led the design process in an international team of over 20 people working directly with Google in California while remotely in Brazil.

Design ownership – Responsible for designing four applications impacting dozens of thousands of users across different areas (Finance, Budget, Marketing) inside Google.

Design vision – Took part in design proposals for future projects working directly with managers and sales teams.

Design process – Helped implement and improve the design process on different teams using different tools such as Jira, Adobe XD, Figma, and Google Analytics.

Key achievement – Received the “Area Star” award recognizing the effort and collaboration on different scenarios across multiple teams.

Key achievement – Received the “Go For It” award for a unique initiative called “English 4 All”: spreading the English and remote work culture, and improving communication between colleagues, impacting over 200 employees.

Front-End Engineer, CI&T 🇧🇷

Google internal tools – Responsible for developing two applications impacting dozen of thousands of users across different areas (Budget, Marketing) inside Google.

Frontend development – Delivering scalable web applications using the following technologies: AngularJS, Angular Material, NPM, Gulp, and RESTful APIs.

Mentorship – Mentor a group of 20 recently hired interns on frontend technologies, setting them up for success as part of the onboarding process company-wide.

Key Achievements –  Developed together with managers a new compliance test resulting in an 80% drop on GUI bugs.

UX/UI Designer • Engineer, APP UFA! 🇧🇷

NOV 2014 — JUN 2016

Project Evolution – Conceived at Startup Weekend to address information sharing challenges on university campuses. Expanded from university app to city guide, and finally to delivery app for small cities. Drove decision-based user experience across all three phases.

User Experience Design – Designed comprehensive experiences for native mobile and desktop applications, totalling over 100 screens. Created and maintained design assets including graphics, icons, and style guides to enhance productivity and scalability.

Product Strategy – Led the transition from university-focused app to broader city guide, identifying new market opportunities. Led the development of a delivery web application tailored for small cities, expanding the product's reach and functionality.

Development and Implementation – Developed client web management applications, landing pages, and promotional landing pages using AngularJS, Angular Material, and CSS3/HTML5. Collaborated in a three-person team to build and integrate various web components.

Cross-functional Collaboration – Worked closely with development team to ensure design integrity throughout implementation. Facilitated communication between design, development, and business stakeholders to align product vision with technical capabilities

Web Designer Intern, GGzE 🇳🇱

FEB 2013 — JUN 2013

Launched a CMS – Connecting doctors, employees, and patients through a multimedia web portal to promote news, videos, and reducing the communication gap between the local community inside GGzE.

Design – Responsible for designing the interfaces, components and custom code (HTML/CSS). In total, 10 screen templates were designed to accommodate all the content generated by key users like doctors.

Technologies learned – Content Management System Joomla, HTML, and CSS.

Innovation – One of the two first interns hired at the Design Center and GameLab, solving mental health challenges through gamification and applied technology.

Adobe Suite – Early exposure to Adobe Suite tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and learning design process through printed and digital media for brand landing pages and magazines.

Design process – Actively participating on briefing meetings, iterating together with senior designers, getting reviews and mentorship, and in some occasions, presented work directly to clients.
